Discernment of Spirits

Description: This course introduces students to the foundational principles of Ignatian discernment of interior movements, such as they’ll see in spiritual direction.

Outcomes: Having fully engaged with this class, students will be able to (1) identify interior movements of consolation and desolation, (2) understand how to respond to times of interior movements, (3) apply strategies of responding to interior movements within oneself and in spiritual direction.

Format: A self-paced four-lesson course consisting of weekly instructional videos and supplementary reading.
