03.15 Shared Work
We desire as a community to put our hands toward God’s work in the world. Whether this is in service to the local church, the Order, our neighborhoods or global communities, we each labor out of a common vocation to the work of God’s Kingdom.
In Our Way of Life
.01
Each member will discern in the context of community how God is inviting them to work vocationally, praying that we might also be able to share this work together in some measure.
.02
Our work doesn’t define us, but we recognize there are vocational paths that undermine our way of life together and the way of Jesus. Members are attentive to vocational choices and prayerfully select work that doesn’t contribute, for example, to the enslavement or exploitation of people.
.03
When possible, members will try to engage in mutual work and make efforts to join the work of other members, as discerned in prayer and spiritual direction.
We want to accompany you in noticing and nurturing invitations to shared work in your life.
