03.14 Shared Economy

We seek to nurture an economy of giving and generosity. To that end, while we don’t have a “shared purse” in common across the Order, we’re committed to meeting the needs of our members.

In Our Way of Life

.01

Each member considers their possessions and resources as belonging to the Lord.

.02

As members of a common community, we make our needs known to each other and trust God to meet those needs.

.03

Each common residential community manages its own economy while seeking to help other residential communities who might be in need.

  • Where do I sense God's invitation toward giving?
  • Where do I see practical needs around me in my context?
  • Are there any assets I might have that could be offered as a gift to someone else? To the community? To the poor?
  • How am I growing in generosity?

We want to accompany you in noticing and nurturing invitations to shared economy in your life.
